Troubleshooting Solutions
Solutions (Troubleshooting)
S1 – Magnetic key cannot unlock
Symptom: Key does not seem to attract the lock; door stays closed.
Possible Cause 1: Using a non‑original or weak magnet.
Fix: Use the original Vmaisi magnetic key. If lost, use a 1‑inch diameter strong neodymium magnet. You also can get original keys on amazon.com
Possible Cause 2: Key not aligned with lock.
Fix: Mark the lock’s position on the outside of the door with a small dot (or blue round label). Then swipe the key in a small circle around that mark.
Possible Cause 3: Lock tongue stuck.
Fix: Open the door (if possible) and manually push the tongue back into place. If it keeps sticking, the internal mechanism may be damaged – request a replacement.
If none works: Record a 15‑second video showing the issue and fill out the support form. We will reply within 24 hours.
S2 – Lock fell off the door
Symptom: The adhesive lock detached from the door interior.
Possible Cause 1: Surface not properly cleaned.
Fix: Remove old adhesive residue with alcohol. Wipe dry. Apply fresh 3M tape and press for 30 seconds.
Possible Cause 2: Did not let adhesive cure.
Fix: After re‑sticking, place a “Curing – do not use” sticker on the door for 24 hours.
Possible Cause 3: Surface material incompatible with 3M tape.
Fix: Use the included screws to mount the lock permanently (drill small holes). If the door is too fragile for screws, contact us for a stronger adhesive solution.
S3 – Door opens but does not lock when closed
Symptom: You can pull the door open, but when you close it, the lock doesn’t engage.
Possible Cause 1: Lock tongue left in “unlocked” position.
Fix: Open the door and manually push the tongue back to the locked (clicked) position. Close and test.
Possible Cause 2: Metal interference causing tongue to pop open.
Fix: Remove lock, test for metal interference again. Relocate to a spot where the lock stays in locked mode.
S4 – One lock has noticeably weaker magnetic force than others
Symptom: One lock in the kit is hard to open even with the original key.
Possible Cause 1: Defective magnet in that lock.
Fix: Swap it with another lock from the kit. If the weak performance follows the lock, it’s defective. Click “Request Replacement” below.
Possible Cause 2: Hidden metal interference near that location.
Fix: Move the lock to a different door (without metal) and test. If it works normally, the original spot had interference – reinstall in a different place.
